I have had by RBTA and Green tipped BTA for about a year and they have yet to split.

My LFS has a MASSIVE rose. The single anemone covers the Entire 29 gallon tank that it is kept in, has been there for an entire year and has yet to split...

maybe it has somthing to do with our water :/ .... just thought I'd share
