Green and Daisy Star Polyp question

I bought a nice patch of daisy/green polyps from my favorite fish supplier, the only problem is they weren't attached to a piece of rock or anything. I've had to move them a couple times, and since they aren't attached to anything, the whole bunch flexes and chunks have broken away.

I have just put them on a flat shelf of rock and put them higher in my tank so as to get them better flow and light. I'm hoping that they'll grab onto the rock and flourish, but at night my damn hermits keep knocking pieces off... :mad:

Is there a good way to attach them? I spose I could tie them on with fishing line or somethings like that.

Any ideas welcome and appreciated!

You could afix the coral(mat) with a rubber band to a piece of your live rock. It shouldn't take too long for it to adhere to the live rock! Possibly lower the flow and place the polyps on the bottom of your tank but placed on top of a piece of live rock is another alternative until it establishes itself, then you could move it where you like.

I concur. Doesn't that sound much more important than, "Yeah, what he said"?
Anyway, I've used rubber bands to get my GSP to adhere to chunks of live rubble. Be patient, it might take a week or 2 at least before it can hold on by itself.
The green star polyp was my first coral and I love it. It looks like a miniature lawn swaying in the flow. I've already made 2 frags of mine.
