Default gorgonion photosynthetic?

Is a deep sea yellow gorgonion photosynthetic or filter feeder?

55 gal reef with live rock/sand. Pro clear aquatics 75 wet/dry, Aqua C remora pro skimmer(in sump), 2 power heads,Coralife 260W power compact w/moon lights, 2 domino damsels, 1 yellow tang, 1 clown, open brain coral,2 pink condi anenome, candy cane coral, a long and a short tentacled plate coral, colt coral, rock anenome, 2 lettuce nudibranch, camelback and peppermint shrimp, orange tree sponge, orange linkia star, deep sea yellow gorgonian, assorted reef cleaners, 2 feather dusters.

It actually eats Zooplankton rather than DT's(phytoplankton) It will usually filter feed at night. That is when you will see the most polyps out.

And is zooplankton smaller than phytoplanktono or vise-versa?

Zoo is animal Phyto is plant. I'm not sure what is smaller. rotifers are a good source of zoo. try a search on Google for Rotifers I'm sure you will find a supplier

But Jason, since zooplankton consumes phytoplankton doesn't the addition of phytoplankton inevitably help the zoo eating corals?
