about an hour after i turned on my moonlights tonight a translucent bubble appeared to be coming out of the middle of my frogspawn, has anyone else witnessed similar behavior?

cant say I have but wow did you get a pic??? we need pics
From what I understand the spawn should have a pinkish red hue to it. But its been awhile since ive seen it myself.
When I was back in cairns we used to drive past the beaches after the coral spawnings and you could see all the spawn on the surface it was a real site to see.

Just a gas bubble if you saw it right at the opening in the center of the head F/Spawns will most often spout new heads from a bud much like a plant does I have seen them drip off flesh from a head to seed them selves and I have had them to do as mention to shot out little bubbles also but they are reddish to pink colored and not clear . I think the Bubble you are seeing is just a CO'2 bubble from food or maybe a air bubble from the water.. But all in all the most common way I have seen them do is expand the head buds and I then break the skeleton up to make my new ones ..

Pretty much like a plant again once toy start to divide the colony through separation the newer little heads will sprout their new buds sooner. I took about 20 head and in less then 9 months I had those and they had each grown their own heads about 3 each on avarege then I split them into single heads and so it goes . 10=30 then 30= 100's

its difficult to say what color the actual bubble was because it was under all blue moonlights, however the bubble was a little cloudy and definitely looked like par of the skin of the frogspawn, i will post a pic but i dunno how much good its going to be considering that it is pretty dark

Well if it was a larva it will float onto and anchor its self and start to grow. But as a rule they are rather cloudy to look into or the $10.00 word escapes me now opaque maybe ? My brain never tell my fingers them big boy words LOL

Agree with Tangster...must durable and fast growing LPS...is even very low light tolerant.

Mine just grow, grow, grow...break off a couple heads and start colony elsewhere.

Does need some current.

Gets along with other corals just great...

Wonderful stuff.
