Well as fare as i know the flower pot coral is very hard to take care of and i think i have read that they dont eat zooplankton. But i could be wrong dont take my word on it. Im new to this so i wouldnt go off of what i say to much lol. But i do have a question for you on your flower pot coral. Is it Goniopora or Alveopora. Im suppose to be getting a Alveopora tomarrow. How long have you had it and do you think its hard to care for?

you dont need to feed the zooathids, and leather. the mushroom, frog spawn, and open will eat some meat like cyclopids, my torch, and open brain will eat mystis shrimp. but they dont need much. i feed my sps' rhodia, cause cyclopids are to big for the mouth of my acaporia. the real question is how much are you feeding everyday? i think you can reduce it to every other day. i could be wrong, but this is what works for my babies, and this is what the LFS told me to feed

_________

29 gal/ 10gal refugium with more things then I have space to list.
with a 7gal sea horse tank slowly in the works

Just want to join in on this because i just got my first corals in the tank. a little branching frogspawn, and some green star polyps. I dont have any food for them. I wasent sure what I was supposed to be feeding them! For some reason i thought they would just filter little bits of food that i couldnt see floating in the tank.

What do i do!!

I feed zooplankton about once a week- just a capful. But I also use Rod's Food. It feeds both your fish and corals! I use it about everyother or every 2days. All of my corals are extremely happy. Especially my goniopora- the tentacles on it are about 2-3 inches long! It is doing awesome!!! My brain coral is also getting so big it's touching my glass now. I want to mover him but he seems so happy I am afraid to.

_________

75 gallon: 1 yellow tang,1 cherub pygmy angel, 1 Kole Tang, 1 lawnmower blenny,1 orangespotted goby, 1 small watchman goby, 1 pearly jawfish, 2 cleaner shrimp, 4 peppermint shrimp, 1 pistol shrimp, 1 sally light foot, 1 emrald crab, 20 hermits, 5 turbos, 12 mexican turbos and 1 brittle star. And a ton of sandsifting snails. Leather toadstool, frogspawn, 2 pulsing xenia, bubble coral, brain coral, elkhorn, flavia, anthelia, a colt, a goniopora and a rock full of zoas.
