hey guys. so i have a fowlr tank. i only have 40watts of light for 30 gals. i have live rock with corraline algae on it which im trying to make grow better. i am keeping my water parameters in check and calcium at 420ppm.
will the low lighting i have affect its growth. is there sufficiant lighting for the live rock to grow various organisms etc.
    thanks

the coraline should still grow IME
What might happen is , if in future you upgraded your lights
you might experience a lot of coraline die off (turns white)
it will then start developing again once its accustomed to the more intense ligting

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Yes back in the old days when we walked 10 miles to school in the snow, we still were able to grow coralline. Only kidding it is a valid question. Growing up, a friend's mother had a SW tank in LA, she used tap water, never dosed, old fluorescent lighting, and had the most beautiful pink and purple coralline I have ever seen.
