Default Coral ID And help!!

Does anyone recognize what type of coral this is? I bought it as live rock in my LFS, it was cover with hair and bubble algae. I got it home and my turo snails were on it in no time, I noticed where they had cleaned off some of the hair algae that it had a slight neon green look to it. I started gently popping off the bubbles and hair and revealed a quarter size piece of what looked like some kind of coral ( Maybe Brain?). Since then I'm noticed some regrowth and in some of the pits are beginning to regrow. If this is a half dead piece of coral can I save it and does anyone have any suggestions>

Looks like a Favites brain coral. Slow grower. If it does survive, don't expect it to come back quickly.
