You know if we quit buying these corals, collectively, maybe they could be left in the ocean where they can live longer than 6 months.

Stepping off soapbox!

Being that it jumps around by .2 kinda strikes me; seems unstable. You might also try taking water to your LFS and having them test it to verify that your test solutions havent gone bad, which is something I try to do once a month or so.
I have the kent stuff, but i've been using a liquid 2 part calcium/buffer solution. Ill try the kent. How much should i put it (i have ~60gals 54 tank+5-6gal fuge). I could never figure out how to get buffer to work. Should I see a difference right away?

Just follow the dosing instructions on the back. One dose at a time till you reach your mark. I would wait at least a couple of hours before testing.

Now everyone knows why that coral always seems to be on the cheap side, because they don't live too long in a tank and people who know better don't buy them.

I had one, so pretty for a while, it died in about 8 months, I heard someone at a lfs say that if they were placed on pvc tubing out of the sand bed so water could go under them they would make it, But I have my doubts. And once again thats what he said, no personal experiance on if that would work or not. Im not gonna buy one to see.
