| Can you ID this thing? I bought a stick with some coral from my LFS. when i woke up the next morning, there was a orange thing that look like a fat, small orange worm thingy, but it doesnt move. I think it came out of the middle of the hollow stick. its kinda ugly. Then when i woke up the morning after that, the orange thing had a cloud of mukis surrounding it, but thats after i did a 30%water change. can you tell me what it is and whats surrounding it? is it ok to have?

| The coral is a type of zoanthid. Blastomussas are hard corals. I am curious if the worm is a vermetid snail that lost it's tube and is currently building a new one.
The head of it certainly looks like a vermetid. See if the stuff around it hardens and if it sends out a mucous net that it sucks back into it's tube from time to time. |

| Is the small orange spot flat and moves around? It might be flat worms.
