maybe

How old and big is your system. Any live stock? If so what and how much and often are they fed? What is your amm, nitrite and nitrate levels?

But in high and sight, more water changes would reduce nitrate levels.

have you been changing your canister media?

I know they can become nitrate factories if not properly kept up with.

Have you thought about adding a sump and skimmer/fuge setup?

If not you may want to consider doing some mangroves or some kind of macroalgae in your display tank, they can help offset high nitrates

Well you have a pretty established tank. but as Iraf said! Clean your canisters, change your carbon, and look into adding some kind of macroalgae or anything that eats nitrates.

What are your nitrates at? you may think they are high but they may just be normal. Unless you have some form of denitrafication, no system is with out nitrates some corals even like them.
