actually all my coral and anemones look great much better than they did in the store they bloom great

can high nitrates cause brown algae problems

Yes it can

And Anemones really dont like nitrates, they may look good at the moment, but if you want them to last long, your gonna have to bring the nitrates right down.

by the way what are the nitrate levels?
