has anyone had an green brain coral? or any experience with one? i was thinking of getting one for my 55, but i am moving to a 75 in like a week, but anyways, what do they need? are they hard to keep? and what is their price like?

I think just because they are called brain corals they should be able to let you know what they need.

Light and water are a must with some brain food some books they can read so they don't get bored.

I have two different species of Green Brain coral! Give them moderate light and water flow and keep them away from corals with potent sweeper tentacles and elliminate the chance of your brain coral falling and landing on another coral or damaging itself from the rock work below and you should be fine!
They are fairly easy to maintain and you can find them at various prices depending on size, color and species of brain!

They can be fed with some meaty foods every now and then when there feeding tentacles are out.

I have a red open brain... Center piece of my tank..... I love it...

i just got my green open brain, and its is frakin awsome. he doesnt like to much flow, but under the daylight is huge about 7in diamiter and down to 3-4in at night. mine only feeds at night though, i havent seen his tenticales out durning the day, same with my candy canes.

is it ok to jsut set them in the sand, or should they be on a rock?

I paid around 40-50 for mine.... Its a awesome looking coral.....
