No one's gonna let their mother-in-law crash their tank twice!
Naw, I think we'd have to reef-indoctrinate the children from a young age, impose blood oaths or something.

an understanding of history shows that this climate change deal is largely part of a natural cycle. there've always been hot periods and cold periods, even before the industrial age. monks in the middle ages praying against glaciers as they decended into europe come to mind. and i dont believe the holy roman empire single-handedly caused the ice to recede through any sort of fossil-fuel addiction. besides, the co2 we throw into the sky doesn't even touch the amount that rotting green matter along the equator throws. lets focus on ending the raw distruction- the dumping, the overfishing, the over-exploitation. it takes an ego the size of al gore's to believe one can change the climate through carpool lanes tax credits and screwy lightbulbs. we can adapt to any climate by use of brain power. and in a few hundred years, ice will creep back down from the clear north, as it always has.

edit: and then we'll replant the reefs. >>
