I also have had only 1 "loss" via on-line ordering :huh:. Vendor promptly gave credit for it when reported.
Most large (on-line) vendors have been doing this for a while and are very good at both packaging and insuring orders are shipped as expeditiosly as possible.
I suspect that far greater livestock "loss's" probably come from improper/insufficient "acclimation" (I had to learn this lesson also the hard way

)
Don't skimp on "acclimation" >

- the longer the better, even though you have to fight the urge to get them into tank as soon as possible. - some very good methods mentioned here on other threads, all of which I have closely followed and had great success with.
Very sad to think a beautiful living creature has made it half-way around the world from its original home, to a retailer - then shipped accross country to new owner - only to be "murdered" by poor handling at final destination.
