Very often Acros will change colour, this is healthy and normal. It may not be desirable but...
Many things play a role in the colour of corals. Lighting and nutrients in the water are the biggest (even though lighting will continue to be debated) factors. Most SPS coral have colour in their flesh and in their polyps. Polyps are usually browny green while the flesh vary widely. It is hard to determine what factors are contributing to the browning but it is not harmful to the coral.

Here is a key to the Alphabet soup we use around here...it is listed near the bottom of the list to the left of the posts..Acronyms...

http://www.3reef.com/cgi-bin/yabb/Ya...ction=acronyms

We have discussed the lighting aspect of coral coloration in our reef club. Do you have actinics or 50/50 in addition to full spectrum?

Also, I have not used it yet, but some of the people in our club use a product called "VibraGrow" and state that it colors up the corals nicely.

There was some research done by Dana Riddle and Andy Amussen on Coral Pigments April 26, 1998 on #reefs. It suggests that low akalinity may also cause corals to lose their colors. Here is the link if you wish to read it.
