I may be going out on a limb here, but didint you just start this tank ?.

I wittnessed today "1" guy who was buying coral like MAD , two humoungous leathers .
which i had my eye on one, and the "dumb azz" bought like 800.00 bucks worth.
( now that being said ) this guy and his LFS store "owner" i thought that he would have stopped this guy, but the customer was buying like mad ( take note that the tank was like 2 months old ).
I was like dammit... stop... ( such nice specimens and your just selling to this dip****Z )
and it will all die.
Pizzed me OFF , i really had my eye one one of theose humouingous leathers, hell even the "customer" was asking me about what aiptasia was.
needless to say nemo... i love ya to death, you have to SLOW DOWN.
and lets find out the real problem/s and correct them . |
wow, that sucks,i feel for you...this poster mentioned slow down,i've instituted a "2month rule" heres how it works.. i go to the store and buy 1 thing that i've researched,i bring it home and if after 2 months it's still doing well i get to do it again.if not i have to spend another 2 months figuring out where i went wrong before i buy anything else. i'm not saying you were rushing, wildreefs post just made me think of it.
p.s. i should mention i'm only two weeks into my first such "cycle"
an added benefit to this philosophy is that you have time to see how that 1 new thing is going to affect your tank and you can learn to adjust for it.whereas with a bunch of stuff over a short period of time it's impossible to know whats really going on and why.not to mention the financial savings when unexpected things (like 93 degree nights)come along. i hope it works out for you
