| How high is the temp? And cooling fans aimed at the water in your sump preferably, will cool it down.

| from about 80 to 90 over night - (or 30c)
I dont use a sump - do you think melting ice cubes in the water would help or would this induce to much of a drastic change in temp?? |

| Use a fan for evaporational cooling, in my opinion it is the best and least expensive. _________ 125gal.w/Mag9.5 return(dual megaflow)>Mag7 pump Aqua Cev180skimmer.Wave2k Hamilton Reefstar(2)250watthqi(mh)pend.a Yellow, Naso Tang Red Lip Blenny Percula Clown Demoiselles Niger Trigger F. | I think it's kind of odd that a small UV sterilizer wouls raise the temp to 90! Is there anything else that could contribute? What is the temp without the UV running? _________ Kris

| it is probably the watts of the uv ive seen some go up to 150 watts but those are for big tanks.melting ice is cool.most refrigarators use some kind of metal piping. |
