Good Question, Could you tell us a little more about your tank?
Did you use the same sand?

It is more likely that it died due to the overall change than from a specific difference. Sometimes the shock of being moved is all it takes to put a coral into decline. Add to that the numerous minor differences in current, light, water, etc. ... it's tough to be put in a new tank.

Also, that type of coral can very easily suffer a minor tear in it's tissue which is enough to start a decline. (That's the major reason they always need to be placed on the sand ... resting on rock can cause abrasions when they expand and contract.) You have to be extremely careful handling them.
