Could my temp be a factor in this? I notice during the day it is around 80-82 (looking at the temp this exact moment it says about 82). I live on the ground level and have the A/C set at 74 so the apartment stays pretty cool. I know I will be needing a fan once I get my MH setup tho..... _________ 125 Gal Reef. good lighting (yup MH with a nice color range 10K) will help coral growth. good water parameters and good circulation might help against the dreaded brown slime you are having (hopefully).

I retired the reef for now. Maybe a nano or a softies tank in the future when I have both time and money. 60 gallon FOWLR in the meantime. My echidna nebulosa are still going strong! | |

Water changes? Best bet. Something in your water is making it thrive. Find out!

do you dose with kalkwasser? Might try a strong injection into your system and buffer your PH up to the high end. | |

Id definately check the light situation. I' ve had a bad break out of Red Slime and new lights fixed it....never saw it again.....just my 2..no wait, 1 cent.
