I fed them Seachem's Reef Complete with a syringe. The next day, only a few survivors, which I re-fed. I'll be home to check on them this weekend but, so far so good...

Like 5 months after setting up my tank, i had aiptasia throught the whole tank, but small. So what was recomended at the time was to make 50-50 solution of warm water and muratic acid, and inject it or atleast pressure spray the aiptasia with it. Back then i had very lil bit of corals, and seemed to work great and didnt kill neither fish or corals i had. Havent had no more aiptasia for 3 years.

turbo-did you have to inject them or were you able to just squirt them? Mine are back, and I am rarely able to inject them. I, too, have very few corals, os I would be ok using something like the acid. You can get that at Home Depot, right?

I've had good luck with Kalk paste and a turkey baster.

300 Reef; 325LR, 1/2" sand bed in tank, 3" sand bed in 215 gal sump/refugium and Berliner PowerPro SS twin becket skimmer. 210 Reef; with 225 lbs of LR, 300 lb DSB, Large W/D and Jebo 520 skimmer modified to accept a becket. 90 RR FOWLR; tied into the 300's sump with a closed loop for extra circulation. 55 hospital.

I tried my best to inject, but found myself basically squirting them, any pool supply store is bound to give you a small container at no cost, or yeah, homedepot has.

I had a problem with aiptasia in my 20 gallon. I bought 4 peppermint shrimp and ten days later the problem seems to have been taken care of.

the peppermints work fine for the juveniles- as for the adults find what seems to work best for you - use a flashlight on ALL you nooks and crannies- if you have one you have one hundred- and then there is the most important part- PERSISTANCE and VIGILANCE- good luck!

ssnake, how many shrimp would you get for a 55 gal? does it just depend on how many aiptasias I got?
