OK, I give up. I can't seem to find any published data on intensity for specific products. At least not on the web. Got a link? All I came up with was this
"...summary of a talk given by Dana Riddle...July 19, 1997." .
"...bulbs were nine and a half inches above the sensor...."
"...(4) 96 watt Power Compacts...(about 1100mE)...."
The LFS has a 20" 1x96W (275mE ?) Coralife Aqualight. The guy I talked to on the phone said it was 50/50 10000K/actinic but didn't know what I was talking about when I asked him about the
PAR. You think if I make a trip down there the data will be on/in the box?
I appreciate all of you taking the time to help me out here, I've learned a lot from this thread. It's also prompted me to do some more research on my own and I discovered that apparently
"a clam doesn't like to have it's mantle ruffled by the current". If this is truly the case, the fact that my display tank turns it's volume right at 20 times an hour means I'd be hard pressed to find a suitable spot for a clam.
Anyway, now I have a few more things to keep in mind next time I succumb to moretankitis.
