Default my wife bought me a new clam
hi there everyone, my wife bought me a new clam as a gift and the lfs told here that the clam is a good flitering thing in the tank, as far as my research go, it's something nice for my nitrate level?...are they really not for begginners? i just don't have that much knowledge about it can someone help me out, thanks!

What kind of Tridacna did she get? How big? What lighting arrangement do you have?
How are your water parameters! Tridacna's are not as hardy when it comes to husbandry and water quality.
I would research on Tridacna's to better help you and the clam you wish to keep!
