Default cleaner clams

I haven't found any recent reviews in this forum for the cleaner clams. Do these work? Do they deplete calcium? Are they really the clams you can buy at the supermarket. Some places are selling cleaner clams in their reef janitor packages, so do they work or will they just die?

I am not certain what "cleaner" clams are...but am sure they are not the clams found in a supermarket. They are almost all the cold water variety, and would take a deep sand bed to keep alive.

I have some clams, actually look like small mussels that came on live rock and they are doing fine.

Lots of other ways to spend $ more efficiently to "clean."
