    not enough light, led's halides or at least an 8 bulb t5 fixture

    Atleast an 8bulb? 8bulb on a 20g seems like a lot...

    Those are LED's, only 4 bulbs are moonlights and the rest are high powered LED's.

    And yeah I was taken aback by 8 bulb.... I don't think that'd even fit

    Man I have a 4 bulb on a 29g with a clam and its doing fine...

    That's because an 8 Bulb is a lot on a 20 L. lol. I see a 4XT5 to be fine for a 20g L, just as long as the clam is appropriately placed.

    I think you could do alright with a low-light clam like a squamosa or Derasea(spelling?) because the tank is only 12" deep. But the Derasea will grow fast. A Squamosa would be a better choice for your tank.
