i'm a PC, but mostly because its what mom bought for us a long time ago... dell dimension 2350, still running strong, no major problems... i may look into a mac when i get ready to buy my own, which may be pretty soon, considering i'm getting back into school for either CAD or medical transcriptionist... what exactly IS so special about a mac?? the only thing i definately know about them, is that you can (or COULD) get them in a clearish-white with either green, blue, purple, red, etc... what i THINK i know is that the mouse only has one button, and you can't upgrade hardware...but, macs are gererally more "user friendly"...

I went downtown to a satellite Mac store the other week and the machine running the whole place was...anybody? anybody?...a Dell. That's the way it is: if you're just word processing and web surfing all you need is a Mac, but if you're into games or run a business you need a PC (IMO).

Well, the main reason why I switched was because...BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH. I hate it so much hah. I was always reformatting...not defrag but reformatting every couple of months. As for the mouse, I plugged my pc mouse and it works without any software...awsome. And for games, I can run Battle Field 2 on high graphics setting very nice. Now broke...I got a Mac Book Pro...my Dell of 7 years finally died...hah, no return. I had used macs for editing, but never really got into them, and was very wary when purchasing a new computer...but I am so happy that what I chose

That seems very odd, I know many people who work at mac stores and...I have never seen anything but a mac in one of them. |

It was the Columbia College branch of the Downtown Chicago store, a satellite store of sorts. They got all their merchandise from that store. I've never been in the full-version mac store. Maybe they do have a PC hidden somewhere ("pay no attention to the PC behind the curtain"), but I don't truly know.
