Spending lots of time watching tank has benefits...

You will get to know normal habits and characteristics of each fish and coral, so you can readily tell if something in environment changing if any starts to act odd.

You will learn at a glance if something sick, gone missing or acting weird.

Be able to tell difference between fish really hungry or just doing their normal wandering around searching for food.

Watching healthy/happy/contented tank/corals/fish provides direct satisfaction and compensation and great sense of accomplishment for all the effort and expense you have devoted to making it so.

Moral: Have an aquarium?...watch it. Is the whole point!
