US Coast Guard officer Paul Shultz found a waterproof video camera in Key West, Florida recently and decided to charge the battery and see what was on it. Along with some vacation photos, he discovered an unusual underwater video that appeared to be filmed by a sea turtle. Mr. Shultz posts the video on YouTube with a note explaining how he found the camera in an effort to find the owner of the camera. Incredibly, news of the video reaches Dutchman D ick de Bruin whom had lost the camera while scuba diving in Aruba 6 months before. D ick now has his camera back after it traveled 1000 miles on the back of a sea turtle all the way to Florida. Wow.

    Paul Shultz:
"Mr. Bruin - I am very excited to get your camera back to you. Hunting you down was a challenge... I'm still amazed it floated all the way to Key West. I will be shipping it Fed-Ex to you tomorrow."

Someone needs to teach that turtle to hold the camera a little steadier
Wonder if it was just caught up in the camera's strap?

Turtle probably thought the waterproof housing was edible(jellyfish), and in trying to eat it, turned it on and it started recording.

Ok I didn't mean to make 'turtle's back' taken so literally - I was thinking of it more as a metaphor. Sorry! To me it looks like the strap got around one of the turtle's legs and was bouncing around on top a bit.

The story is definitely better than the video. That turtle needs to go to film school. Well, actually I saw stuff like that in film school. Never mind. :)
