    Thanks for the replies

No, no generator here- I wish I did for my Salt water fish tank, but in about 5 years, we haven't had any significant power outs.

My fam and I have been here almost 5 years, still don't really miss the heat and humidity of Houston/Galveston TX though. Not yeat anyways

It was in the mid 40s in Houston today. I thought it was too cold.

Pffft, Thats nothing! My city is the 5th snowiest city in the US and we don't lean on that lake effect business you Wisconsinites do.

Climate change is defined as extreme weather anomalies becoming more frequent, for what it's worth. Polar warming has actually driven this colder winter, believe it or not.

Additionally, weather is a snap shot in time. People always make these comments during winter. If you notice, we've had extreme summer heat during the last decade too (8 warmest on record. Not 8th, eight). Climate is pattern over long scale periods of time.

I realize their was sarcasm involved, but felt the need to clarify a few things. Just a couple tidbits from someone who has a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science.

PS- Climate change has been frequent during Earth's 4.5 billion year existence, especially during the last 800,000.
