I have a Quaker. Actually he is screaming for dinner right now.

They are not illegal in BC.

They are Illegal in some states because in the wild they can be quit invasive

Quaker's are actually rated 3rd or 4th in the best talking parrots. Quincy knows probably about 80 - 100 words and is starting to use some in context. He laughs at jokes and sings a couple of songs. They're great pets, big parrot attitude in a little parrot body

I up-graded my 45gal tank to a 90gal tank with all the bells and whistles Either way, I got what I wanted........je...je...je

Messy yes, smelly no.

Acutally Rascal is very nice smelling! -- a pleasant sweet fruity/nutty smell. --Also likes to keep herself very clean. Gives herself a full bath every other day, and gets very noisy if I forget to change the bath water so it is fresh for her to do so!

Yes, a Sun Conure...also a one person bird (me) --- will have little to do with the other three women I share the house with. (also how I know she is a she.)

Beautiful bird....remember when I was visiting land down under, how amazed I was that the birds we call "exotic" flew around everywhere there --- cockatoos, cockatiels, green parrots, etc. --- and that really cool sounding one...kookabura???

Have two other "beautiful birds" in house. One 15, one 14 years old... --sometimes I wonder who is noiser, them or Rascal?
