| Making it a buisness......FINALLY!!!!!! Well ive been doing maintenance on friends and clients tanks for over 2 years now, Ive been wanting to do it for sometime now and I finally have. I just bought a 1992 pac bell work van with all the bells and whistles (generator, aircomprsessor, water pump, 150' remote hose to pump/vac water and air. Ive decided on Aquarium solutions, made my buis. cards and flyers. I wont go into sever detail but just wanted to show off my new van and show that the hobby can generate income......eventually. Heres some shots of the van (still pretty dirty but in great shape for a work van)....amazingly everything is in great working order (even the cool warning light...lol.I dont have photos of it but i just got a 150 gal water container that is plumbed to my dolphin pump and then to the hosing which is fed from the 150' hose out of the "wet" outlet in the pic. Theres a small work bench and fold out chair, a MH flood lamp in the rear, and alot of other little storage places. Graphics are on the way and ill post some pics once i get em....sorry for the long post, Im really excited to finally have a good work vehicle. _________ Yes, tiny has an 11" legspan...... |

| Cool! I am thinking about doing something like that part-time, why not put my knowledge to work and have fun doing it!
Good luck!

As your business grows, you might want to consider setting up your company with Limited Liability so that if someone sues you, they cannot attach any of your personal assets. The details are here. Starting a Business _________ Curt |

| I appreciate it guys!!!! Im still awaiting my graphics.....but my flyers and cards are in full production....I had no clue that color copies were $1.10 ea!!!! I went to kinkos with an old card i had some money on (like $20) and told the girl at the counter that I needed 1500 color copies, after a few awkard bouts of "no, just copies.....i have paper....." I realized that it was actually going to cost around $1100!!!!!! So i gave them to my friend @ kaiser and he made most of them for me.... I may be moving out to Sac soon to work @ Capital Aquarium, as Ive been talking to carolyn for sometime now about it. Anywho, I may become the one and only LFS ninja again....but now I am armed with more tank skills and an incredibly stealthy van!!!!!!!! |

| Breaking NEWS! Well, I landed the job and am in day 2 of the SW section @the aquarium. Now I need to get my bonding and lic. taken care of once i make the move, and build a new customer base. The staff @ the store are very friendly, and not snobby "not it alls" who actually dont, a rareity in my exp. The store is huge, and there are MANY people setting up tanks everyday as opposed to the smaller places Ive worked. Im very excited and cant wait to relocate, as much as i hate to move my reef.....which is in transfer as is. I have reassumed the inner LFS NINJA.....29th & T will never be thae same......dun dun dahhhhhhn. |
