Its been a while Hello everyone. Its been a few weeks. I have been busy with other things. My tank has suffered also but I will be getting back on track. I see the thread about salinity in the thread about the sick mushroom... I flooded my tank a few weeks ago with the topoff line from my RO unit. That makes 3 times I have fell asleep while dripping water straight from the RO unit flooding a few gallons of that wonderful tankwater onto my floor. I checked the salinity afterwards and it went from 23 to 18 in 1 shot....not good at all. I have been slowly bringing it up. My frog spawns and Torches all puffed up in the middle while their tenticles shrunk and deflated. It will take me a while to get all the tanks back up to speed. Man they sure go downhill fast without the constant care and attention. Tipped over corals and a loose powerhead....what a sandstorm that was. I bet you all have been there huh.
Its good to see the forum is still going and people are activly posting threads. Seems like it slowed down for a while when summer was here. On the lighter side my xenia colony has grown from the 3 stocks I saved when it crashed last time to over 15 stocks. Glad I had the other tank to put some in before they all went south. I have 2 kinds now, the long tenticle fast growing xenia on steroids kind and the slower but pretty pink fast pulse kind.
Oh yea....that awesome elegence coral I got for my birthday died a couple weeks ago also. I tryed everything I could think of or read about to help it. It got the white jelly on the tenticles and it went pretty quick after that. Man I was bummed big time for a while. I wont get another unless they figure out what is killing them off for sure.
Talk to you all later
Jay
