Hello again eveyone, hope your all doing well

I'd like to suggest and/or start a discussion on us getting an IRC chat room setup. I see we have a chat built into the site, but nobody ever uses it. I am on IRC pretty much all day at work and many people on here probably are too.

There are literally hundreds of clients you can use to connect to IRC servers (this is an old-school technology) that include web based clients It's relatively easy to use, especially with the web based ones as the site can control which server and chatroom you connect to. Heck I'll even make a how-to with pictures explaining how it works if need be.

Great idea, but i'm not sure it would go over well.
I'm personally surprised work still allows me to log onto this.
Pretty much anything that has a cookie built in is blocked.
And in the evenings and weekends I can't see sitting in front of irc like I used to in college. Just my thoughts though. Maybe i'm scared of getting addicted again :-)
