I have heard several stories where people got in to trouble with large snakes such as these. I feel there should always be a buddy system when dealing with these animals, period. You should not have been holding the rabbit in your hand
I do that with my snakes, but they are no where near 12 FT.
I'm sure you have learned from that mistake. Are you REALLY sure you want a venomous licsence??? Think about it for a long time before you get in to venomous. Your mistakes will be far less forgiving! Another factor. One bad bite can cost more than $80,000 in hospital bills! Possibly amputation or even death if bitten from a hottie. I, just like you would like to get a licsense for venomous. And these are the things that come to mind for me while concidering it. Give them some thought.
