    A little off-topic, but...

    It's been that way for a few decades, now. That's how Intel and Microsoft took over the home computer market. Neither had ever "innovated" anything (Even the term 'PC' was stolen from the Xerox Alto), and their products were far from being the best. They just happened to have the best lawyers and marketing strategies at the right time.

    Doesn't suprise me that the state I currentl;y reside in, WI, is mentioned.

    People look at the date of that article posted its from June 2009. Its 2014 and you can clearly see the number of different led fixtures available to us.

    Patent laws just underwent an overhaul last year.

    It's now the first to file, and no longer the date of the idea's inception.
