Default Anyone watch that horrid spectacle of MMA on CBS last night?

Elite XC, what a joke. IMHO none of those guys can even come close to the weakest fighters in the UFC. there were 2 decent fights all night, which one ended prematurely w/a poke in the eye. the best fight of the night was the chicks, some bad broads. CBS shouldn't broadcast Elite XC again. they didn't do the sport any favors last night.

I caught the end of the kimbo fight. That dudes ear was gnarly. I was watching the liddel/vanderlei re-run on spike. This is on tonight and will hopefully be good.VERSUS FABER vs PULVER - WORLD EXTREME CAGEFIGHTING

Sorry, don't get into that kind of so called "fighting"...

I am however sitting on edge of seat for the Pavlic vs. Lockett "fight" next Sat.

Been a diehard boxing fan since my grandfather used to take me to big fights in my pre-teen days...

If you are a any kind of fight fan, you don't want to miss this...

Kimbo's now 3-0, fighting a guy who's now 10-10, while losing 7 of his last 8 fights, and that warrants the "main event" ??? terrible.

I like WEC alot too i'll definitely tune in to that one.

I used to love boxing, but i think it's lost it's luster. no real superstars anymore, other than Mayweather, IMO.
I don't know if the talent has just gone down hill, or everyone's just evenly matched. i can't get into it anymore.

To each his own.

Guess its a matter of what you develop a passion for.

I used to fly down from Alaska to Seattle just to watch Ali fights on closed circuit TV. Am pretty certain I got to see all his big ones live.

Remember one time managed to time trip with a Jimmy Buffet concert...

Think I am much older then you guys...

I hear ya. I still enjoy watching some of those old fights when they used to come on ESPN Classic.

Jimmy Buffet's a good show i've seen him a few times down here in the Keys.

I have to agree with you buddy I remember when I was a little fart setting around the radio with my pop and all my uncles and they where listening to the fights in the mid 50's to when Clay with Liston to Patterson We always used to watch the old Gillette Friday night fights on the old round 12 inch T.V The Old Dumont (: I like to watch a real fight , If I wanted to see a bar fight I'd go to the bar and be in it (: Maybe thats why I gave up bars (:
