Kimbo's 3-0 in WEC competition, I believe he's only won once and lost a few in UFC competition though. He's the best WEC has, and he's good for entertainment but no match for UFC talent.
CBS and MMA in general all lost out on that show, they had a chance to bring the sport to the non-cable viewers and they did it with the minor leagues. A high school baseball game is fun to watch if you know the participants or if you're just killing time, but it can't compare to the talent of the majors.

Kimbo's never fought WEC or UFC only Elite XC and that's cause the majors know he's a bum.

| Unfortunately I just got home so I didn't get the rental, let us know who wins.
Due to earlier posts I should note that I'm a big fan of boxing, at least in the good old days, along with kickboxing and most other high levels of physical competitition. The old boxing matches were great and I still love to watch replays of them even knowing what's going to happen in the end, but today the boxing industry has really fallen behind. UFC has done a great job of letting people know the personalities of the fighters, they maintained a MMA approach while adding a few rules to change it from the barroom brawl into something that can be televised at least on cable tv, and quite frankly the promoters of boxing killed their own industry by holding title fights next to never and just keeping their sport in the spotlight. UFC requires their fighters to compete much more often and put the belt on the line more regularly plus they do a great job of selling the fighters and their personalities. Dana White took a company and basically an industry that was on the verge of bankruptcy and tunred it into a cash cow with a rapidly growing audience - heck anymore when I rent a UFC night the gals seem to be as into it as the guys are, favorite fighters and everything.
Nice to see this thread on here, I like to see a little different side of the folks on this board now and then. |
