All of that stuff has been identified and classified. The last one, I actually caught on off the beach in FL a few yrs ago. It freaked us out, we didnt have a clue what it was. My dad said it was a "skate", we thought he was full of it, but he was actually right, lol.
(not my pic)
Platyrhinoidis triseriata (common names:guitar fish, banjo shark, skate, shovelnose etc etc)

The head of a ray, the body of a shark. It was about 4 feet long and we didnt have a clue what it was at the time. My bro lived on the beach in Ft Walton Beach when he was stationed at Eglin, and we would go fishing at night on the beach.

Most of those critters in the video are deep water critters that are rarily seen. That 6 gill shark, I remember when that video came out a few yrs ago, it came up from the deep to die and they got video of it before it died, the first time anybody ever video'd one.

Watch Blue Planet's: The Deep, and it shows most of those critters. My favorite is the "Dumbo" octopus...

OMG!!!!

I have actually seen most of those in one of my books at one time or another.

The video didn't really provide a sense of scale on the Mola Mola (Sunfish) so I googled for a picture that provides scale.

Here's more Ocean Sunfish (Mola mola) Photographs, Phillip Colla Natural History Photography
