What are good magazines available? - Page 2

I will pick up an issue TFH once in a great while just to see whats new in the industry. Birdlady, you are right when it comes to hit and miss on the theme of the issue. One bad draw back with it, if you have no interest in the theme it is useless. So far it has told me what not to get,but a Lionfish, Seahoarse, Nudibranch tank would be so pretty!

I haven't bought a FAMA magazine in a couple years but it is still out there. When I go to the book store I will look through it but I never really feel the need to buy it. I think the magazine needs to be updated.

I've subscribed to FAMA for over 5 years. I can honestly say it's improving a lot now, especially in the last year.

A recent article on FIJI vs Florida rock was good.

Some are still iffy, for example the series on mudd filters seemed like marketing material and didn't probe a lot. But I look forward to it each month.

Well I just purchase a FAMA and Marine Fish and Reef magazines. I will be reading them on my plane ride to Virginia. So I will have to see what I think of them.

JDM, The Marine Fish and Reef is an Annual Edition put on by Aquarium Fish Magazine. There is no sub because it would be for like 10 years

A UK mag called Practical Fishkeeping is pretty good.I can't work out how to add a link but type in practicalfishkeeping.uk

You clearly haven't seen C...The Journal. The photography is amazing, the articles are interesting, the advertising is held in check, and everthing is printed on good paper vs cheap newsprint paper.

Anyone else have any input on C...the Journal? I'd love to pick up a reef subscription, but have never found anything worthwhile...
