Default Worms everywhere!

Nano been set up for about 8month now and have had no issues. Look at the tank yesterday after feeding and i have worms all over the place. Please ID and any information would be great.

The nano is my reef setup so if they are bad to reef please tell me how to get rid of them!

The worms are bristle worms. Some hate them others accept them. They help keep the tank clean but can grow in population to levels not desired.

I've personally never had a problem with them

Arrow Crabs will keep the pop in check

An overpopulation of these worms is usually caused by overfeeding so if you've got a lot of them, you'll probably want to cut down on your feeding.

Karma for all the great replies, my wife was about to have me sick my arm in there and go swim after these things. I might still get and arrow crab if i can find one at my LFS's there is only about 20 of them in the area. I am sure someone cares them.

Very true, but depending on the inhabitants of your tank, the heavy feedings might be a necessity. I personally leave the small ones alone and yank out the larger ones with a syringe.

You have to watch out for arrow crabs though, they can be rather aggressive. JMO
