Ok so a few days ago I had my hammer coral on the bottom left of the tank and I noticed a hermit was sitting on top of it for a day and I didn't think much of it but then yesterday I noticed alot of brown slime coming out half of it right where it was... scared for the rest of the tank I pulled it out basted all the slime off and its clean now but polyps are only in 1 area is it okay to put back in tank...

Was the hermit munching on something that was already there? Any thoughts on giving it a dip? If you have no QT tank, i suppose you'll have to put it back in a watch it closely. It may take a while to open back up after being irritated. Good luck!!
