| What is this? Could someone tell me what this white thing might be. It came on my new shroom rock. |

| | 3reef Moderator | That would be Aptasia. A huge Aquarium pest that can multiply to out of control level. There are no redeeming qualities an should be removed.
Do a search for Aptasia and you will find hundreds of posts

| The stony base tells me that it's not aiptasia but I'll be darned if I can remember the name of that animal. |

| Yep, it's has a calceraous skeleton. I remember that species, I think it's related with the Galaxea coral.

A bunch came in on my live rock several years ago. They are interesting

My thoughts to the T. They typically come in on Atlantic live rock.
