Default Water change and still the same levels?

Long story short removed a Micron bag from my over flow thinking that was causing my Nitrate boost. Did 20gal on a 90 and the Nitrates are still the same. No drop what so ever. They continue to stay at around 140 which my test kit has been showing to me for over a month now with every water change(4 total). Could i be doing this test wrong or even a bad test kit?

If they were 140 for a month you would not have any fish IMO.

What test kit are you using? AP?

Try a 2nd test or take a sample to a lfs and have them test it to see what the results are there. Fish themselves can live in a higher nitrate tank without much effect on the fish but this could hurt your inverts over time. What kind of water are you using? Tap water and some other sources of water may contain nitrates on there own and you may be replacing what you take out so test your water source before anything is added.

Here is the kit I have been using that i bought back in July of last year.

Saltwater Mater Kit

Can anyone suggest a good kit that tests all levels (i.e. cal, ph, alk, nitrates, nitrites, amonia, phosphate, and any thing else that might be needed)?

Doubt if there is one for everything. There are lots of kits that test multiple parameters but I haven't found one that tests everything I want. Most are fairly basic. But good luck>

I have that one for testing nitrates and I hate it. That vial leaks water all over the place because the cheap cap they have doesnt seal.
