I woke up this morning and my blue and yellow tang died last night and my family just text me that another tang died. Idk what kind of tang it was. And my other yellow tang is turning white and it eyes are cloudy .and a clownfish and a damsel are getting thin. Idk if it's fish disease? Or what it is?

    My levels are
    Ph8.0
    Ammonia 0ppm
    Nitrite 0ppm
    Nitrate 0ppm
    Salt level 10.024

And the levels haven change. The last time I check it was Monday afternoon

make sure your heater did not break.. Does the water smell funny..

also assume SG 10.024 is actually 1.024

PS pics of dead fish would help also.

Just strange that overnight they died.. Did they show any signs of issue prior

    Yes 1.024 type o
    The temperature is 81*degrees F
It's a 65 gallon tank with 20 gl sump. The yellow tang that died had a white belly for about a week but it's been swimming fine, eating well. Very active.
I didn't take any picture of the fish. The blue tank didn't look sick at all when I took it out of the tank.

That is weird. How many fish are in the tank? Do you have power heads in there?
    Pics might help.

blue tang, 2 yellow tangs, and another tang in a 65 could be your problem. probably stressed out and once one died your ammonia probably went up, stressing the others out. I would check your levels again.
    Just my opinion.

My guess as to the reason for the initial issue is lack of O2. That is a lot of large fish in a small tank. What is your setup?

The only other things I can think of that would wipe out that many fish at the same time would be marine velvet, high ammonia, or some other contaminant (like a broken heater as mentioned).

Either way, sorry for all of your losses. I hope you are able to save your remaining fish.

    +1
this is part of the problem. Tangs are very very sensitive to stress. Especially Blue Tangs. Each one of those tangs need a minimum 120g. Tangs swim around 200 miles a day in the wild. Yellows are smaller so can maybe go as low as a 90g.
But if something started to stress them it could trigger them all.

I’m sorry, that sucks. I just had a clam died and really bothered me. Still bothers me
