does anybody know what it means when a yellow tang points its body straight up and down and shake like crazy i came home tonight and my is doin it never seen it act like this

I've noticed that amongst normal swimming/activity when a fish gives a random dart through the water it might be the beginning stages of an external parasite. Don't get all worried though. Just keep an eye on it to see if it starts scratching etc. . Or, actual visual signs such as spots etc. . My idea could be totally off base though. Just an idea. Unless it's going through some random ritual.

Could be ich as mission suggested.

My domino did that and it did turn out to be ich. I bought him a skunk shrimp and it rotisseried him for a few day. Viola! No more ich. He's even grown his scratched off tail back.

i have a skunk cleaner in there but i do notice little red dots by his white barbs almost like he is bleeding but very small dots
