| Sunuva... I hate to bash the ich thing to death, but my henni has it bad. We've been treating with "Ich Attack" since last Sunday, removed the charcoal from the filter, and if anything is happening, it's staying the same.
I still have inverts in my tank so I can't do any extreme treatments. The other fish seem to be doing ok.
Everyone is eating fine and the other fish don't seem to have any symptoms at all...anymore. There were a few white spots on the Humma and clown, but they have cleared up.
On my tank, the recommended dosage is 4 cap fulls everyday and on the 7th day do a 20% water change if the spots have cleared up.
Any ideas? ...and yes, I have read all the ich threads on here. That's why it's taken me so long to post about the problem.

| hey duck,
Ich is a tuff one buddy. Im going through the same thing right now, I have tryed many diffrent ich medications and none seem to get rid of it fully. Sometimes you just have to go the extreme if you want to save your fish. The med tank with a copper treatment. That is the only sure way to get rid of it with fast results.
Good luck and I hope it clears up for ya!
Keep us posted.

| From what I've read, I can't do copper with inverts. Any truth to that? |

| yes! 100% to do copper you will have to take the fish out and put them in a small QT tank. Copper should not be used with corals or inverts. I wouldent even trust it with my LR or LS. You can get a cheap 10G tank from wallmart with the filter and heater. You will have to cycle that tank with some or your water and some fresh water. that is the best way to do it. |

| There is nothing to really treat ich with . We just had a huge out break in our tank from the change over a few weeks ago , everything in there has or had it Temp. 80.F is the best thing I found to deal with it and added oxygen from extra stronger aeration. Its is just a stress factor like a cold is to us. Stress and fatigue and out it comes. I just feed a medicated food to hep build them up a bit its just enriched with vitamins. What most would be best doing is learning to truly identify Ich from other white spots ..

| I've treated ich by lowering my sg to 1.017 for a couple of days. Now if you have corals you will want to do this in a QT tank. Crabs and snails will survive not corals...
just my 2 cents

| Well, you need to click on it.
But, no worries. He started losing fin mass last evening.
The Henni.... RIP. He didn't make it through the night.
Both other fish are doing just fine. |
