| small fish being sucked into overflow i have a drilled tank with the over flow in the corner
my small clown keeps getting sucked into it. HOW do i keep that from happening first pic is the overflow and the second is the clown in the downspout area
any help would be greatly appreciated

| I'm very new to the hobby, but I know there is some very fine plastic screen you can get from your local Lowes/Home Depot....
would something like work? Put it around the overflow so it covers the slots?
also, just thought about it, what about like an old fish net?

| Maybe he likes it in there .. I had the same problem I used some filter media to keep my clown out of the overflow he probably goes in at night mine used to sleep close to the surface and he would get sucked in at night. But he is no longer with us sooo anyway good luck |

| i got a peice of plastic from a lfs for $2 and cut it to fit the overflow, kept my percs in the display tank cause i had one that would routinely end up in the sump _________

| Screening will work just fine. I had to do that for when I had a baby snowflake. I was terrified that he would swim in and go bye-bye.

| Just make sure it's not metal screening and you're good. I'm pretty sure most metals aren't good  Be prepared to clean it lots until that little guy grows up a bit.

| To all thoes of you who have had clowns sucked over overflows BE VERY CARFULL its a clown conspirace that goes way way up so far we dont know whos at the top but I think it started with the gang from the dentists office in NEMO hahahahahahah. _________
