| Red Mushroom I just purchased a red mushroom yesterday and when i put it into the tank all the mushrooms were small and shriveled looking. So I expected it to look better in the morning after the light was on for a while and I went to bed. But the light has been on for about 4-5 hours now and they are still shriveled. Should I be concerned also some stringy looking stuff came out of the mushroom and was hanging from the middle of the mushrooms after they went in the tank? Is that normal? Please help, I'm really concerned for my new tank mates? |

| My green mushroom did that, well not the slimy stuff, but I put it in a really low flow part of my tank and within a day it opened up bigger than it was when I bought it. I think they like low flow. I'm new to this so take it with a grain of salt and see what the other reefers have to say. _________ 72G Bowfront

| My tank is about a year old or so, I also have some button polyps, some snake polyps in the tank. I checked my water and all seemed to be well yesterday. |

| If everything is checking out good, then just place them on the floor and wait. What kind of lights did they come from(LFS). |

| Give them some time, they will open, just getting used to your tank.
