Default Please help me ID the spots on my coral beauty

Just added him in my tank last Monday. My LFS quarantines his fishes with copper treatment and I did acclimation by adding 1/2 cup of tank water every 10 minutes for 1 hr. He appears to be eating more (combo of mysis shrimp and spirulina flakes). Also, one of the spots on his side appears to have disappeared and only the ones on his fins are left.

I appreciate any advice you can share.

Thanks
JD

Thanks. The rocks are finally clearing up from algae.

I hope its not ich. From what I can see its more cotton-like fungus. He appears to be eating much better today. Anyone know what I should expect? I'm watching the other fishes and they don't show anything on their bodies. My water chemistry is ok with nitrate around 20ppm--maybe its because I've been overfeeding.

what you can do is take him out to a QT tank and monitor him.
Do it at night with lights off to reduce stress

at least for a few weeks. my best guess is some type of fungus or early stage of ich.
