| Under the present circumstances, it is best to just use tap water to make new saltwater. Their has to be an underlying reason for the water to be gone however. Evaporation I don't think is the answer as to why the water is gone.
How big is the tank and how much of the water is actually gone?
What do you have in the tank right now as far as livestock?
Do the livestock have enough water in the tank to swim and not be stressed out right now?
Meanwhile, I would quickly make up some new saltwater for the livestock.
You really have to be sure as to the culprit regarding the loss of water!
Good luck...hopefully everything will work out and you won't lose anything. | Sounds like sabotage to me................I would be soooo looking at my kids right now,lol I feel your pain Nemo, been there, done that and got the T-shirt. That happened to me a long time ago but with something that you would never guess. I left a paper towel on the rim of the 20g tank after cleaning it. The towel must have, some how, fallen in but not all the way and started to absorb/syphon the water as far as the towel reached. | I got the bright idea once to put a sponge in my overflow pipe to filter out fish crap and other things that were building up in my very generic sump. Luckily my wife was complaining about the new fish I got, when I noticed the water was about ready to overflow out of my tank onto the bedroom floor... this is one time i'm was glad she was complaining..... |
