Default Odd Algae, unknown please act fast.

Ok i got this wierd algae in my tank, on my live rock. Its about 1mm tall, dark green. At the end, is a sphere(like a bubble) inclosed in the skin. Like i said, its only about 1 mm tall. What is it, and is it good. Note, their are only a few, and only on my live rock.
Ammonia is at 1.0 ppm. 79.9 degrees F.
No nitrate/Nitrite
yes, my tank is cycling, im doing it with live rock. Should i have a protien skimmer on? it seams to collect a lot of stuff(foam) out of the water. I've got to empty it every hour, or it will over flow. i dont mind it, but is it normal?
HELP!
